こもれび陶房
Kokedama & Ceramic vessel

Kokedama literally means “Moss-ball”, and is the ancient Japanese art form of pot-less plants wrapped in moss. Placed on a ceramic vessel it is an amazing living piece of art which you can enjoy at home or give to someone as a special present.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction about the meaning and origin of Kokedama. There will be a selection of plants from which you can choose your favorite one. Then with step-by-step guidance you will create your very own hand made kokedama with the easiest, yet most effective, plant-friendly method. Finally, you will design and create a matching vessel with clay.
During a break we will enjoy Japanese tea and sweets.
You will also learn everything you need to know about watering and maintenance to make sure your cute kokedama will thrive.
After the workshop you can bring your kokedama back to your home, but your ceramic vessel will be dried and fired at Komorebi ceramics, which will be ready for pick up (or delivery with additional costs) after 4-6 weeks.
